What if the most ordinary thing in your hands right now could become the very tool God uses to change lives? That is the question at the heart of this exploration of the book of Numbers, where a simple wooden staff becomes one of the most powerful symbols in all of Scripture. We travel through the wilderness alongside Moses and Aaron, witnessing rebellion, divine judgment, and an extraordinary miracle where a dead stick sprouts buds, blossoms, and ripe almonds overnight. The story of Korah and his 250 companions reminds us what happens when a team turns on itself, and Aaron's courageous run into the midst of a plague to intercede for the people gives us a breathtaking picture of what it means to stand between the living and the dead. The spiritual lesson lands close to home: we are not passive spectators in God's story. Every one of us has been called, gifted, and positioned as a believer priest and ambassador of Jesus Christ. The same God who gave life to a dead stick is the God who works through whatever we are holding right now. So the question is worth sitting with: what is in your hand, and are you willing to let God use it?

Discussion Questions:

- How can you encourage your fellow church family members who all have a ministry?

- What does it mean to you that you are a believer-priest?

- Who can you minister to this week?

- What have you learned from the book of Numbers?
